Here’s another gem. The assignment was for the Best Holiday Special so my example was done in claymation. I’m such a procrastinator that I didn’t start until the Sunday before it was due and it took me all damn day to make those characters and then animate them one frame at a time. Anthony Rogers and Scott Macdonald once again provided the voices. I was the toad.
User Created Video Game Commercial

I made this for Attack of the Show 4 years ago as an example for a “User Created” contest in November 07. It stars my good buddies Bruce Greene and Anthony Rogers with Scott Macdonald voicing it. We shot it in the playground behind our building on Wilshire and I drew all the images in MS Paint and then animated them in Avid. Really brings me back. -tear-
Wiffle Bat Fight Club

Today Derrick Paller and I produced the 3rd ever Wiffle Bat Fight Club tourney. It was a ton of work but it paid off pretty well. Also, last-minute replacement Sharon Sands was a great ref (Boxing HOF referee Richard Steele canceled this morning with a bad back)
B-Comp, Spoole, Blahr and Nik get the most credit for beating the ever-loving shit out of each other. Great job guys!!!!!!

Our resident “old guys” Pat, Bill and Harold came thru big time in this skit that I had my doubts about. Casey Schreiner wrote an amazing script and after 4 hours of prep, voila! Based on NMA’s Prop 19 video below.

I produced a quick bit today involving fake tattoos and Daniel Dae Kim. It was very cool to direct him considering I’m a huge fan of Lost. Jin for the Win!

Lost Chatline

Now that Lost is over, and it didn’t exactly answer all our questions, we decided the world needed a party chatline where nerds can talk it out.
This was actually a Hashaw Production. I started shooting at 1:45 and Mike Shaw cut it in post up until it aired at around 4:45.
Taints for Tykes

I finally got a chance to use disgusting surgery broll in one of my segments! It’s actually all stock dog surgery footage and I’m not sure what that thing being hammered is accomplishing.
Based on a horrible skateboarding crash that rendered a young man’s taint bloodied.
Alison Brie co-hosts Attack of the Show

I shot a quick bit with Kevin and Alison Brie (of Community and Mad Men fame) starting at 2pm and it aired right at 4 before our graphic open. Talk about quick turnaround.
It turns out we permanently stained our green room’s carpet with fake blood for the chicken stabbing scene. Oops.
Turtle Fight!

Today we pitted 2 turtles against one another in a contest to the death! They both survived somehow and now live with our PA Sean. Based on the turtle fight video below (it gets going at the 1:00 mark)
Fun fact: Our PA Nick tried to buy the turtles at Petco and the manager on duty caught wise to our plan of exploiting them on TV. He ended up banning Nick from the store so we had to send our other PA to go buy them an hour later.
