Turtle Fight!

Today we pitted 2 turtles against one another in a contest to the death! They both survived somehow and now live with our PA Sean. Based on the turtle fight video below (it gets going at the 1:00 mark)
Fun fact: Our PA Nick tried to buy the turtles at Petco and the manager on duty caught wise to our plan of exploiting them on TV. He ended up banning Nick from the store so we had to send our other PA to go buy them an hour later.
Lil Hadron Collider

Chris Hardwick and Alison are hosting again all week. In honor of today’s Large Hadron Collider milestone we built a Lil Hadron Collider for Chris to congratulate the scientists of CERN. Of course it ended with us violently teleporting scientist meat from Switzerland.

Hot Tub AOTS Machine

Today Clark Duke from “Hot Tub Time Machine” co-hosted AOTS with Olivia so we put them in a hot tub for the whole show. I produced the red carpet shoot in the beginning as well as the dolphin chef later on in the show.
I was warned about ruining E!’s stupid bejeweled mic flag before we shot this. I think Seacrest himself may have come down and kicked my ass if anything happened to it.
German Nihilist Puppets Return

And they return to drum up votes for Olivia in Esquire’s Sexiest Woman Alive Tournament. It’s always funny to see how uncomfortable the puppeteers are while we tape these.
Alpaca Point Break

Yet another pretape where I wish I had more than 5 hours to produce and shoot it. We actually assembled this in the control room at 3:45 so it lacks snazzy transitions. I must admit that the alpaca was the best behaved animal I’ve ever worked with. Great job Q-tip! (yes, that’s his real name)
